Consistent Schedules Winona Foods' production schedules do not rotate or swing. We offer 8-hour or 10-hour straight shifts with paid breaks. There are occasional opportunities for overtime during the week based upon business needs.
Shift Differentials Winona Foods offers generous shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
2nd shift - $0.50 per hour
3rd shift - $1.00 per hour

The General Labor employee manually fills cases with finished product and manually palletizes cases of finished product. The employee also manually removes cheese from the case and re-palletizes open blocks of cheese while maintaining line pace. Additional duties include performing basic machine changeovers and set-up duties as assigned by the Packaging Lead and assisting the Cheese Cutter Operator as needed.
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Put finished products into designated corrugated boxes following all casing protocols
Check products for proper code date information
Palletize cases according to the required pallet configuration
Operate pallet jack (either manual or electric) to move completed pallets of finished goods
Communicate with Supervisor and/or member of Quality Assurance team regarding any packaging issues
Maintain a clean work environment
Comply with GMP standards as set forth by company
In the event of downtime, work in other areas as directed by your supervisor
Follow all safety protocols
Disassemble machinery and equipment that has been used that day
Clean and sanitize equipment using steam hoses and various chemicals
Hand wash and sanitize all disassembled machinery parts that have been used that day
Reassemble machinery and equipment for following day’s production
Run CIP’s (Clean in Place) on production process lines and equipment following SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
All other duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-2 years of related experience
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
